Very interesting question.
Three best:
> The Lucky One, by Nicholas Sparks. When it comes to books, I only really like crime novels, EXCEPT Nicholas Sparks. It's a guilty pleasure. They're predictable, cliche, but still amazing.
> The Lost Symbol OR Deception Point, by Dan Brown. I know so many people don't like the Dan Brown books, but I really do love them. And I'm not ashamed to say that I've learnt a lot from them.
> 206 Bones, by Kathy Reichs. OK, so I don't love Kathy Reichs THAT MUCH. I prefer Patricia Cornwell, at least the earlier Cornwell books. Like an order: early Patricia Cornwell - Kathy Reichs - post-From Potter's Field Cornwell. But anyway, 206 Bones was by far one of the best books I've ever read. Absolutely amazing.
I haven't really read any AWFUL books, but still, three worst:
> Twilight/New Moon, by Stephenie Meyer. Twilight was awful, for all the reasons I've mentioned in posts over the last couple of weeks. Same with New Moon. I actually only got through half of New Moon.
> Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad. I didn't finish this book; probably got through about a third. It wasn't that awful, it was just really difficult to read.
> Cause of Death, by Patricia Cornwell. Yeah, OK, after From Potter's Field her books changed. Or more her writing style did. I don't know why, but I'm not a fan of the change. I'm halfway through Unnatural Exposure (book after Cause of Death) at the moment, will hopefully finish sometime, but I'm just hoping they get better soon.
